Dr. Carlos Riquelme is the Director of Intellectual Property at Ceibo. He coordinates the identification and protection of Ceibo´s intangible assets, oversees the administration of the IP portfolio of the company and assist in the negotiation of IP-related contracts. Carlos has more than 11 years of experience in innovation and entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on intellectual property and technology transfer.
In his practice, he has combined a deep knowledge of corporate law with innovation, advising in the creation of technology-based ventures, leading in the negotiation of contracts in the field, as well as managing portfolio of intangible assets. Prior to joining Ceibo, Carlos led the intellectual and industrial property office at Universidad de Chile and has advised other Higher Education Institutions, Associations and start-ups, in the protection and commercialization of technologies.
Carlos holds a Law Degree from Universidad de Chile, a Master’s Degree in International Investment Law from University of Heidelberg and Universidad de Chile and a Ph.D. in Law and Economics from the University of Hamburg/Rotterdam/Bologna.
