Mauricio Báez is the Director of the Technology Innovation Center at Ceibo, where he provides tech support for copper leaching development. Throughout his career, Mauricio has demonstrated a constant commitment to innovation and creating technology-driven solutions across various sectors.
At Baex-Nunik SpA, he designed and built bioprocessing equipment , including bioreactors and monitoring systems. Prior to that, at Microgreen Chile, he led the production of edible sprouts with a technological focus aimed at local and sustainable production. He also founded Lof Sur, aiming to improve the quality of education in Latin America through science and technology.
At Austral Biotech, Mauricio managed R&D biosensor production and contributed to the production of recombinant proteins. At Tekit, he promoted scientific learning by developing educational video games. Mauricio holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering & Bioprocess from the Catholic University of Chile.
