Cristóbal Undurraga is the CEO and co-founder of Ceibo, where he leads the company’s mission to revolutionize the mining industry by making it more sustainable and improving global access to copper. Under his leadership, Ceibo is advancing cutting-edge sulfide leaching technologies to meet growing copper demand while reducing environmental impact.
Prior to founding Ceibo, Cristóbal held key roles in both the public and private sectors. He served as Head of Innovation at Corfo, where he implemented groundbreaking changes in entrepreneurship and innovation policy after the 2010 earthquake in Chile. He also worked in Silicon Valley with Apple and Calera, leading techno-economic analyses. Earlier in his career, Cristóbal was CEO of Extend Comunicaciones, a top PR firm in Chile, and COO of elarea.com, a pioneering Latin American media company.
Cristóbal holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Universidad Católica de Chile and an MBA from Stanford University. He is also an active investor and advisor, supporting early-stage startups and NGOs that promote social change through education, innovation, and free markets.
