Víctor is an entrepreneur and investment professional with 25+ years in venture capital, company building, open innovation, R&D, and tech commercialization. He has lived and worked in six countries, bringing extensive intercultural expertise. As Managing Partner at Aurus Capital, he launched the world’s first VC fund focused on critical minerals and Chile’s largest. His portfolio spans circular economy, ultra-conductive copper, sustainable mining, and IoT solutions. Key investors include Codelco, Mitsui, IDB, and CORFO.
Víctor is also CEO of UNIK Ventures, a climate-tech and critical minerals VC firm with a USD 180M Sustainable Elements Fund targeting 2025 investments. A strong community advocate, he serves on the council of Chile’s largest engineering school, Andres Bello University, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.
Throughout his career, Víctor co-founded 12 startups, achieving 5 successful exits. Previously, he co-founded the 3IE R&D Institute and the South Pacific Research Institute, backed by JICA and FONDEF. He earned his Engineering degree from Santa Maria University of Technology and completed postgrads in Spain, the US, and Italy.
